Directed by Will Schmidt. With Will Schmidt. In 2021, local Southern California Stand Up Paddle pioneer, Will Schmidt, successfully attempted what is now historically the first and only solo and largely unassisted stand up paddle of the Pacific Coast of the United States from Canada to Mexico.

Local Southern California athlete and SIC ambassador, Will Schmidt, just released the trailer of his upcoming documentary, Through My Eyes. In May of 2021, Will successfully attempted what is now historically the first and only solo and largely unassisted stand up paddle of the Pacific Coast of the United States from Canada to Mexico.

Duo To Attempt 300-Mile Channel Islands Expedition

The journey is scheduled to begin on September 2, 2021 and is part of an effort to raise awareness of new pressures on endangered species and ancient Native American cultural sites within the Southern California Bight-the coastline extending from Point Conception to San Diego and westward to include the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
